During a 5-day period, a selection of the finest Oaxacan ingredients carefully merge in copper pots and over low fires to fuse the tangy elements of chocolate, chilis, grains and fruits, creating the finest mole recipe. For 5 generations, this Oaxacan tradition has been passed down and with every bite. From Oaxaca with love, a dish best served in good company.
Notes of cinnamon, cumin, raisins, and black pepper offer a slight heat that is a true treat for the tastebuds. Five days of preparation are needed to let the taste of the peanuts and almonds release just right.
Heat with 8 oz of your choice of broth/stock until a honey-like consistency is reached and serve immediately over your favorite protein, vegetable, or grains.
Red Mole: Dried chili peppers, sugar, sesame seeds, vegetable oil, onion, garlic, peanuts, raisins, cinnamon, almonds, black pepper, clove, cumin, and salt. Red Mole: Contains peanut, almond and soy.
Refrigerate after opening, heat before consuming, store in a cool and dry environment.
